WEEKLY  THEMES

Fabulous Friendship, Creative Arts, Science, Math, Health and Fitness, Literacy, and Music

The themes for this year’s 7-week Summer Enrichment Program from June 30 through August 15 will be as follows:

WEEK 1: Fantastic Friends

This is a time to get acquainted with one another, make new friends and reconnect with familiar friends.  Learn to treat others the way we want others to treat us is a good guide to being a good friend.

WEEK 2-Awesome Art

This week we will learn about famous artist like Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh and Pablo Picasso. We explore various medias to create similar yet unique masterpieces.  We even paint upside down like Michael Angelo did in the Sistine Chapel.

WEEK 3- Marvelous Math

We will make some fun math games the children can take home and play with the family. Through these games, children develop problem solving skills and grow in confidence through success.

WEEK 4 - Lovely Literacy

This week as we read stories, we will discuss the setting, events, characters and plot. We will work on sequencing stories to help with reading comprehension and retelling. We will also begin to create our own stories.

WEEK 5- Super Science

This week we will explore the world around us like a true scientist: Asking questions, researching, and experimenting.  We will harness the power of wind, water and battery electric to make our world easier.

WEEK 6- Moving Music

The children will learn to make music with percussion instruments like shakers, tambourines, and sand blocks. They will hear how the various water levels in a jar sounds and how different lengths of plastic tubes can make musical notes. We will teach rhythm and counts per measure and other age appropriate aspects of music.

Week 7- Sports for Good Sports

On our last week of summer program, we provide preschoolers a chance to learn various sports and engaging activities. No matter if your child is in kindergarten, preschool or is a toddler (2.9 years of age), you'll find the perfect blend of fun and educational sports activities here. We offer sport like soccer, t-ball, track, and basketball.
